Hi all,
I’m looking to create a special ring to mark the birth of my second son born in January. His brother was born in March a few years ago and I had this aquamarine ring made (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/aquamarine-step-cut-and-diamond-ring.247280/). There’s lots of symbolism in that ring from the birthstone to where we purchased the stone and the engraving on the setting - Not to mention the ring itself is quite substantial, so this second ring has a lot to live up to!!
I was thinking as garnet is a birthstone for January, to use this mint garnet cut by Jeff White:
It’s 1.37ct, 6.31x5.22mm - so a bit on the small side but the cut and sparkle off the stone is lovely.
I think if I was to use this stone, the setting would need to be something special to really make the ring standout..
What do you think? Any ideas for settings that could work? Or should I look for another stone and save this little guy for a different project?
Some ring designs I’ve been looking at that I like:
Thanks!
