I prefer the tacori setting.

As for the diamonds, they both look great. I don't think you can go wrong with the BG signature or WF ACA.

I didn't look at the stones but as far as the settings go, IMO the BGD setting has a more current feel while the WF setting has more
of an antique feel. Not sure which feel you are going after. I like them both. If I had to decide I would probably do the BGD
setting.

Thanks everyone for the input. My first time buying a diamond so really appreciate the help.

I dislike the head on the tacori, it looks like it would get caught on everything. The Carisa is beautiful. I'd go with the BGD set.

I would choose the Carisa. More modern.

I agree with the second BG diamond but you could definetely go for a full carat if you went to G color Si1 totally eye clean ideal cut diamond.

Let' take a look

I really like the curves of the Carisa as well, that's very pretty! Can they provide a handshot? That would give you a better idea of what it will look like "in real life".

What type of wedding band do you think would go w/ it?

I like the BGD setting, I agree with tyty it is a more modern look, a more up to date style. I would also go with the BGD stone, get both together, makes it so much easier.

Tacori for me. On the Carisa, the interweaving metal with the diamonds on the side are distracting from the center stone. Also, the prongs on the top and bottom look too big, and are distracting from center stone. I have had a six prong for 1.5 years now, and notice the top and bottom prongs most, and it bothers me. Probably not everyone. I like the Tacori b/c it is cleaner with 4 prongs. I would probably prefer a 4 prong setting to a setting that has top and bottom prongs.

Actually, that's a good point. Hi LLJsmom :wavey: !!! When I looked at the pics again, I noticed what you were talking about and I absolutely get what you're saying.

My center stone's an oval and my first setting had 6 prongs w/one on top and bottom and everyone thought it was a marquise (I love a marquise but it drove me crazy). So for my new set, I asked GOG to design the head so that there are 3 prongs along each side and none at the top or bottom. It made a big difference to me.

OP: If you like the look or "security" of 6 prongs but are concerned about the thickness of the prongs, some jewelers will file them down so that they're a bit "leaner" (not to the point where they're unsafe, but just so that they appear to "hug" the circumference of your center stone a little more closely). It's worth asking about if it's a concern for you.

Thank you all for the help!!

I emailed them asking for pictures of the BG ring on a finger so I could get a better look. They also said I could make the prongs smaller and move them to the side instead of having a NSEW configuration. Thank all for all the suggestions!!
