After dreaming about a 3 stone for forever, my FF has tried to steer me towards a solitaire. Even if they are to be the same price, my FF would prefer a "classic solitaire."

Originally I wanted custom 3 stone Organic flow (similar to the Vatche 3 stone Swan) with pave diamonds. Made by either Maytal or Leon Mege. (1.25 J/si center and two .40 ish j/si sides)

Now though, after looking at some of the OECs, I''ve falling in love with them too! And the charm they have. I''ve found a 2.20ct si2 (eyeclean) K/L stone (faces up very white).. and I''ve also fallen in love with antique settings (maybe a custom by either Maytal or Leon or an Singlestone setting)

The 2.20 costs about the same as the 1.25 plus two .40 sides (if not less than the 3 stones).

So now, which one should I pick? I''m so torn!I love the finger coverage of a 3 stone (at least deter away DSS for a little while) but I also love the old world flavor of the OEC. They both end up being around the same price.. so really the FF says it''s up to me decide since HE has already voiced his opinion. (No,

he said I can''t have both!)

If you love both truly equally, I would defer to your FF''s opinion. But if you really really want the 3 stone in your heart, get that one.

If you don''t know, flip a coin, with heads being the 3 stone. If it lands on tails and your first thought is "darn!", then you know you truly wanted the 3 stone. If you are happy with the flip, then just go with it!

Sit on your decision for a couple of weeks and think about it.

You say that you like the 3 stone for finger coverage. Why does he like the 1 stone? Besides it being classic, what does it say to him that pulls him in that direction.

I love antique stones, really do, but if you''ve loved 3 stones forever then I''d head toward that so you don''t regret it later.
