Help me clear up this issue with Color & Clarity of my stone

i'm just wondering what you all think the color & clarity of this stone is. i don't know if this is the right place to be posting it. i right now it has an EGL USA certification. I just wanted to see what each of you thought, before revealing the certification color/clarity.

No idea on clarity. Maybe U-V color? Really just a guess.

No possible way to judge clarity from that photo, but I would think that since I can see some inclusions, it must be in the SI or I range. Hard to judge color from pictures as well, but I would guess it is below J.

i apologize about the clarity question. i was trying to post the magnified image of the stone, but for whatever reason, that wasn't possible.

any more opinions on the color of this stone? i'm curious what everyone (including experts) have to say?

There's absolutely no way to tell. Who knows exactly what sort of lighting that picture was taken under, and the surroundings...what does the cert say? The stone could be reflecting something yellow, or black, there's just no way to tell. If the stone was placed on a piece of white paper we could tell better.

I agree that there is no way to tell. I've seen photos posted that make a D stone look yellow and an M look white, so photography and lighting and background can be tricky things. In the photo posted, the diamond looks quite warm, though, and I can see inclusions (and with my eyes, I thought everything was eye-clean to me!). That doesn't make it a bad stone, depending on your preferences and if you are happy with it and the price you paid.

you are just wasting your time. judging clarity and color isn't done based on a picture against a colored background.

It's hard to tell, but they could be around the edges of the stone...but again, can't tell from a picture like this...

You're asking the impossible here. "Experts" aren't trained to assess a diamond from photos, especially on colored backgrounds. The lighting conditions and static nature of the photo make it impossible to see nuances of clarity. What you see in real life will be far more obvious than anything conveyed in one photograph. At first guess, I think I see inclusions as well, so I would agree with SI-I range. The color looks murky and odd to me, but that may be an effect of the blue background. Perhaps N/O/P range?

I'm thinking that if the inclusions can be picked up from a single photograph, the diamond is more likely an I than an SI

Very difficult to judge by this picture but i'd guess it's an SI1 or SI2 and in the M-P color range.

I think the tint on the metal looks "off," and the entire photo is dark and a bit sallow. I am going to say it's a J/K, perhaps with a brown undertone, and it's in typical fluorescent office lighting.

Otherwise, I'll guess M/N.
