Help me chose an eternity ring - please!

Hi All,

I'm on the hunt for an eternity ring and need ideas. I want something to go with my engagement ring, but nothing too 'matchy matchy'.

E-ring is 1.4 carat radiant set sideways -D, VS1. I wear it with two plain wedders now.
I'm looking for an eternity to make a statement - 4.5 - 5 carat - radiant, emerald or ascher. Maybe bar set - definitely don't want channel set.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've not come across any e-rings the same as mine on here, but would love to see any similar styles and here your suggestions.

Have you looked at an EC eternity or 1/2 eternity band?
here's a channel set EC from Unique settings http://www.uniquesettings.com/products/show/19717 which I think would look not too matchy, but compliment your ering.

One query: Most of the rings I'm considering are .20 /.25 pointers (4-5tcw). Do you think this is too large for a solitaire of 1.4 carats? Does anyone have sets with similar proportions / weights that I could see??

I wouldn't go THAT big bec I like the solitaire to really show off.
 
Thanks - I just found another thread on eternity's and some sizeable rings at 17 pointers (3 tcw) so yes, I think 4 - 5 would definitely be too big for my solitaire. My main thing is I'm used to a wide band (as I wear two wedders) - maybe I could look at a couple of bands and stack them?

it looks like your bands are about 3mm wide each, I would find one about the same width.
 
For your ring, I don't think I would go higher than 20 pointers, though I'd be more comfortable with the proportions with 10 to 15 pointers. That's still a really big and blingy look but without detracting from your AMAZING solitaire (seriously! gives me ring envy!).
