Is it true that you should not buy a diamond if the cert is more than 1 year old? Any comments on the diamonds specs and pricing, pros and cons, would be so helpful! Thank you so much!

Between those three, I would definitely pick number 1. It has a diameter which is 0.2 mm higher, and that should reflect both in apparent size, as well as in light return from the stone''s edges.

Only one small reservation: carefully check the nature and the extent of the SI2-inclusion. Is it eye-clean, does it bother you?

Live long,

The AGS cert should have crown and pavillion angles. Also, what is the table and depth of #1.

From just what you posted #1 - no question considering cut. But, as Paul said - how eye clean is this one?

Ditto the exact same comments. Depth/table info are missing for #1, but the measurements suggest they are likely in range.

I wouldn''t likely pick #2 or #3 based on the depths of these stones......but #1 looks promising. Can you get the rest of the information......depth, table, crown angle, pavilion angle, etc. (they are on the AGS report).

Yep -- #1 looks by far the most promising. I would get a copy of the cert to see all of the angles, and pictures of the inclusions and then discuss it with the vendor while they have it in front of them.

i got a copy of the AGS cert:

Table: 57%
Depth: 60.5%
Crown angle: 34.5%
Pavilion angle: 40.6%
Pavilion: 42.7%
Crown: 14.8%

there are some faint markings (feathers, no carbon) beneath the table area and some on the side but can''t really see them without the loupe, i am not sure if the price is too much for this diamond though, let me know, thanks!

GORGEOUS! That''s absolutely a go!

LINK to another AGS0 G/SI2

8mm diameter like the last two contenders goes better for 1.8-1.9cts than over two and that''s a bit less cash (link)
