Help me choose!

Hi Pricescopers . I've been lurking for a bit soaking up information... this site is great!

Anyway, I think I am ready to bite the bullet soon... I am trying to decide between these two diamonds. My budget is between $5000-6000. So diamond #1 is slightly over budget and diamond #2 is significantly under budget (not a bad thing). Which would you choose and why? Is the H&A cut worth it?

Other suggestions are welcome too. I'm basically looking for something with great brilliance (ie. lights up), but also good value and around 1 carat. Would prefer VS2 or around there, and G-H for color.

Forgot to add... this is for an engagement ring!

Welcome to PS!

Avoid diamond 2. It is considered a Steep- Deep and will have considerable leakage IMO. 36.5 and 41.2 is a bad combo for light return.

Diamond 1 looks good.
