Ideal Cut
Clarity: Eye clean -- likely SI1 or higher
Carat weight: 1.7-2.0
Budget: around 16K
GIA or AGS certified
Color: H-I. The diamond should not have a yellow tint that is detectable to the untrained eye. He is planning to get the VC Evelyn or something similar, so the diamond will be covered on the sides.
