I''ve spent the better part of 8 months researching everything there is to know about diamonds and at this point, I''m at a loss. I have finally found a designer to help design the custom settings and they''ve presented me with three stones on various ends of the spectrum and I have no idea if I''m getting a good deal or not. The stones are as follows: (mind you this is in Canada so prices are higher here...I think)
Stone 1: 1.35ct princess,G ,VS2 ,5.97 x 5.90 x 4.46 ,(Excellent polish, Excellent symmetry),
Stone Price: $9990.00
Stone 2: 1.13ct princess,E,VS1,appox dimensions are 5.83mm and a near perfect square,Excellent polish, VG symmetry,
Stone Price: $8900.00
Stone 3: 1.59ct princess, F colour,VS2 clarity 6.43 x 6.31 x 4.62 (Excellent symmetry, Very Good polish) 66% Table, 73.2%
Stone Price: $12,600
The setting is a combination of the Tiffany Novo pave with the Birks Deco "necktie" in platinum (quoted at $2,200)
I realize it''s difficult to price princess stones based on such little information and I''m totally comfortable just being in the ballpark of a decent price for a great stone.
I just want to make sure I''m not being ripped off here
