Help Me Choose Between 2 Diamonds

I''m getting a custom ring from WhiteFlash and I''m trying to decide between two diamonds:

The setting will not accommodate a larger diamond upgrade once its made, so that is a factor as well. I know the .8 GIA is probably better cut, but I might be able to upgrade the 1.0 to a better cut.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

These need to have the full work-up done.

Maestro, these are not in house stones, so you would need to contact WF to ask them if they could call them in for you. As for upgrades, no hard and fast rules!

Neither of those stone are in-house so they haven't been looked at or photographed by WF. But it's going to be challenge to find a nicely cut 1 ct in that price range. You might need tp go lower in color or clarity.

Usually when someone upgrades the stone they get a new setting. Occasionally the setting can be reused but that's more the exception. If you are considering an upgrade start off with a very simple and inexpensive setting.

And ask about the upgrade policy. They sometimes don't include any diamond purchased, only the ones the vendor wants back.
