I am sorry but neither of these would be acceptable to me (and most here) because the measurements indicate a likelihood of leakage.

These parameters will help you stay in a safe zone within the wide GIA Ex range:

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

Another option is to use the HCA tool with the objective of having a score of 2.0 or lower (1.0 is not better than 1.9. It is a screener to help identify the better stones in GIA Ex that warrant further information.) You want Light Return, Fire, and Scintillation all to score Excellent, and Spread (diameter) can be very good or excellent (and often is very good on ideal cut stones).

#1 scored 4.4 (good) on the HCA, and Good on the first three areas and Very Good on spread.

Your #2 stone scored a 5.0 (good) on the HCA, and Good in all four areas.

I would recommend against both of these stones.

Very much appreciate your response and help. I will keep searching and use the advice you've provided.
