Hi all,

I recently got engaged. We have a princess cut center stone: GIA 1.04 F Si1(totally clean) table 71, depth 71, VG/VG. (Very well cut LOTS of fire, brillance)

We are looking for 2 trillions approx .25 -.30 ct each that are white and brilliant enough to put up to this wonderful center. F color and ideal cut.

Where can i find 2 super high quality matching trillions at a good price??? any phone numbers or websites, or email addresses will be a great help.

I like the american fancies web site. They have a great selection. BUT that said, I can't stress how important it is to view the side stones in person. I have been told that getting just the right size and sparkle and "look" to make sure the side stones match is a VERY hard job if you want it to look right. I suggest not buying online for this type of project!

I just wanted to second moremoremore's sentiments. It would be terribly difficult, I think, to get the right look with the center stone by means of the couple of numbers typically available for these fancy-shaped stones. And even if you had the full range of information of every dimension, etc., I think it is too hard and the tolerances are too fine to be sure to get the right look without seeing the stones together with the center.

The jeweler who will make the ring should provide you with a couple of options for the sides. Normally, one would have some request (such as 'no shallow trillions please' - get a well-cut pair even if would be 'havier') and receive a time frame for how long it would take for a couple of pairs of trills to make it to the jewelers. Even better, you may want the shop to alreday have side stones in stock to show you, at least for the 'look' (since triangular stones come with various facet patterns) if the exact color, clarity and size is not already at hand.

You may end up with a great pair bought based on table, depth and pictures

but this is not the 'usual' way to procure side stones...

To make things worse, there are no 'ideal' proportions for a trillion.
