Hi all,
Looking for some help. I just got my ACA a few months ago. DSS has set in a bit now and I found a diamond that might scratch that itch.

My current diamond:

The one I'm looking at potentially upgrading to:

I'm a stickler for color and size but I'm not 100% on the inclusions. Honestly, my vision sucks at anything closer than a foot closer so just would like to know that the inclusions won't be super visible.

I want it to be a sparkle bomb like my current diamond.

Can someone take a look and let me know your thoughts?

Thank you all so much!!

You would see a size difference. Color should be the same. Being an ACA, I think you would be hard pressed to be disappointed in it. Looks like a sparkle bomb to me from the videos. Call WF and ask them to look at the inclusions for you. Twinning wisps are often not visible in real life viewing. I think as long as they can confirm that it is eye clean, I think you would be good to go!

I'd advise that you wait until you can upgrade to 1.33 minimum, if not 1.50+ carats.
If you're feeling DSS already, then make the diameter upgrade even more significant. :)

Thank you both!

We've been saying that anything 0.2+ size difference you would notice the difference. You are looking at about 0.25 size
difference between these two stones. I would find out if the increase in size will still fit in your current setting. You dont want
to have to replace your setting for a small increase. If you have to replace your setting then I would wait, save more money and
go larger for my next upgrade.

If it will fit in your current setting then depending on how much more you have to pay it may be worth it. (dont really know because
we dont know the cost of your original stone. )

Thank y'all!

I have had 3, 2.5, and 2 ct. ACA's before and they were extremely uncomfortable on my hand. I also had a 1.5 ct Tiffany and the size just was a bit too big. I think 1.2 is probably my sweet spot.

The price difference is $500 so it's affordable to me. I've asked Brittany to pull my stone and compare to this one for size and sparkle impact.

If you can swing this, then have her pull it as well and and send you videos to compare. :)

Curious about what size finger you have @jalcon ?

My ring is sized at 7.5 though my actual finger is 6.75. I do not like to have any squeezed feeling on my finger.

Here's a picture of my current diamond on my finger:

Thank you Deja for your help. This one is a bit of a stretch for me right now but I'm going to put it in my wish list. The 1.23ct is only $500 more than my current diamond. I'd be going down in clarity but up in size.

Does the $500 include shipping and setting fees?

They are able to reuse my setting so it's an additional $150. So a .23 increase for about $650+tax.

I agree with @DejaWiz , I wouldn't upgrade for that size increase. Even if you can notice the size difference at .2- is it really enough to make it worth it? That would be a personal decision, but for me it wouldn't be.

This is of course your decision. I completely understand the wanting to increase the size of your diamond (I did the same thing at least 4 times). What I know (for me at least) is a larger size difference made more of an impact in my appreciation in the size of diamond I chose and for longer in time until that darn DSS set in.

Good luck!

Well, you say the 1.5 ct Tiffany was still too large of a stone. Have you tried on the 1.2 and maybe a ring with a stone about 1.3 or 1.4? I'd suggest that before deciding on what your "perfect" size might be.
