Interesting article, Win. Bad people always find a way to get the dirty deed done. It's a shame that the means used will be tainted by the end results.
It is the responsibility of every legitimate dealer to take every precaution to ensure that they are not dealing in 'conflict' diamonds... By working with legitimate sources with direct ties to the major diamond sources it is easy to do... It is the greed of people looking to make quick money that enables these stones to reach the market... If a parcel is priced too well or is offered by an unknown source it should be avoided. Aggresive steps are being taken within the industry to police itself, books and documentaries like this serve to shock the public, but hopefully the public will realize that is is written in past tense, the future of our industry is already being re-written by the powers that be.
