Hi, I have this brooch from my grandmother. I don't know if it's worth anything. I don't see any specific signs on it. But I don't know where to look either. What period does it come from, or what region? Can anyone help?IMG20231114000511.jpgIMG20231114000518.jpg

Whatever it is, it is certainly pretty!

DK :))

I’m going to guess 50’s or 60’s - mid-century modern. Not because I have any real knowledge about jewelry styles, but because I can picture that brooch on a dress my mother had when I was little!

Could you post a picture of the back and clasp? That might help some of the folks here who do have real knowledge!

Here is the back:

How very lovely! I agree with the 60s. It also might be made by costume jewelry by Juliana, but I am not totally sure as I don't know much about costume jewelry.

i love brooches
please wear it. its so pretty
looks mid century to me, i could see it on my grandma or one of her sisters

Above another grandmother brooch it contains red gems , diamonds, pearls , silver balls ,etc..unknown origin.! Looks mid century.?

Another found brooch in my storage.Rhinestones fake gems..I don't know.!

ive been thinking about this one all night
i can see my grandma's sisters wearing something like this
when ladies never went out without a hat and a stylish coast

i think it deserves its dignity restored and have its lost gems replaced
if it is costume and not fine jewlery there are still people who can restore it on etsy
