I hope I''m posting this in the right section!
My colleague recently acquired a ''new'' ring - when I say new, I mean new to her. It''s actually from around 1920s to 1930s and the centre stone is a cut I haven''t seen before. It''s shaped like an asscher - square with the corners cut off - but what really intrigued me was that the table was completely flat - like a rose cut. Kind of like someone taking an asscher and chopping it in half across the girdle. Does that make sense? I''d never seen anything quite like it and wondered if it was a cut that was used often back then.
I''ve done a search on both Pricescope and Google and can''t seem to find anything similar, so apologies if I''m missing something really obvious.
