HELP! HELP I need advice!

For the past few months, I have read a lot about diamonds for an e-ring that I am getting tired. I have narrowed my choices to BGD, and WF. I like BGD but WF's upgrade policy is better than BGD. I am open to any suggestions or advice. If you know where I can get the same or better quality diamond for less $$$ or a bigger, nicer diamond for the same $$$ please let me know.


I am looking at H&A diamonds in the .70 to .85 ct range and have a budget of $5000. I do plan to upgrade my bride's diamond every few years.

BGD's upgrade policy is more restrictive: ALL upgrades need to include an upgrade in two of the three following categories – size, color and/or clarity, additional charges my apply at time of upgrade.

For the size you are at, WF may have the better upgrade policy for you for later.

With BG- you might consider starting a little lower overall so you have some extra room to move later:

Great choice, I'd go with the purchase from WF.

BGD, WF, JA, GOG & BN etc are renowned online stores unlike few of the drop shippers they have certain policies in place reason being they stock majority of the diamonds in house. If I were to buy a diamond for my wife, I'd always prefer buying from a reputed Jewelry store no matter they charge few extra $'s. With regard to their return/ refund & Upgrade policy, yes I would do thorough investigation and comparison, then take the call.

Apart from this I would prefer not just looking at the savings on the purchase but also the after sales service.
