HI,

I''m looking at buying the following diamond for $6800.

Cut--ideal
Clarity--SI2 (i''m told it''s very close to SI1)
Colour--H
Carats--1.53

Table--57.1%
crown angle--35.7%
pavillion --40.8 (not sure if this is angle or %)
culet size ??
depth--61%
symmetry--excellent 7.44mm x 7.4 mm x 4.53mm

Does this look like an okay purchase?

Thanks.

There aren't any comparable SI2 clarity diamonds durrently available to price check with. Based on Price Stats and the information you gave, the price you were quoted is definitely ballpark. This diamond scored 2.9, VG, "Worth buying if the price is right" on the HCA.

who certified the stone? GIA? EGL? or some small unknown or inhouse cert company? it makes a difference.

The stone was certified by GemScan in Toronto.

Look like a good stone at a fair price. The crown is a little steep, but it should be very nice looking.

I guess it's eye-clean? Have you seen it? How does it look to you?

Is that Canadian $ or US$.

Price tax included or + GST and PST

The price is good if it were a g.i.a ,Or e.g.l certs.
I would only go with a world renowned certs. like the one's I mentioned. If you ever want to upgrade, trade or sell,They are well known and more acceptable than any other lab.

check the web ,go on different sites and see what this type of stone goes for.

good luck

EGL has an office in Toronto. Ask the seller if you can bring it there to get it checked out.

The diamond is eye-clean. The price is in USD without taxes included. Just the diamond.

Thanks everyone for your input.
