Hi all,
So my fiancée and I have been ring hunting for the past few weeks and we've finally found a setting we love:
http://www.maevona.com//bridal/4/eriskay
The next step is finding the perfect diamond for this setting. The nearest retailer to us (NYC) of this setting is Michael Fina and from what I've read on here, it seems they mark up the price of the diamond by a lot. This is both our first time purchasing a diamond so we want to make an educated choice. We are meeting them for an appointment to go over the diamonds, but I know it's also possible to find the diamond elsewhere and only purchase the setting from them. If I were to do this, does anyone have recommendations for diamond sellers in NYC? Then would we send it to Maevona to set it or would we need to find someone else to do the setting? And in the end, going with a separate diamond seller and someone to set the jewelry, would it cost us just as much? We know MF would be the easiest way to go, but we would rather not break the bank when there's the possibility of a better diamond for the money out there.
Thank you in advance
