My very good friend is turning 30 in a couple of months, and her husband has enlisted my help.
They have about $500-$750 to spend on a ring, and she wants a right-hand ring.
They're not pricescopers, and he's given her very little insight other than a budget, something she can wear daily, white gold (her wedding set is yellow gold but everything else she wears is white), etc. He knows she loves blue and red, so if a colored gemstone is the best option, it'd need to be one of those colors.
She's a very classic person - not super modern - so something timeless would be the best bet, I'd say.
Do you all have any feedback or ideas? Other than solitaire/wedding ring stuff, I'm pretty clueless about jewelry, as I wear nothing except my rings.
They're not interested in using the budget to rhodium plate her wedding set or do anything to it, and she'd prefer the surprise over picking it out herself.
What would YOU do in this situation?
How could he maximize his budget? As someone who isn't a diamond expert, I'd venture to say she'd care more about spread and finger coverage than the 4Cs
