Hello everyone! I''m so new to this it''s ridiculous. My other post https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/zales-need-help-deciding-please.118038/ told me to come here for help, so here I am!

I now know, thanks to this site that I''m looking for a square Halo with a princess in the middle and diamonds all around and on the sides as well. I would also love a matching band..

When I go on Whiteflash, I''m so confused as to what I should be looking for to get the best princess diamond so that it''s sparkly and beautiful. I know that I need to get the best cut available.. but what I need help with is depth and measurements.

Our price range is 4-5k max. Do you think I could get a setting, diamond and band for that price, or just the setting and diamond?

depending on your specs, if you go down color and clarity and maybe size, I think it might be doable. A halo setting will be expensive I think.

Welcome!

It is cut quality which is critical for a diamond''s beauty so very important to concentrate on that. What are your priorities, do you want the highest colour and clarity diamond you can get for the budget, or the largest? Depending you might be able to get a diamond and setting for that price, did you want platinum or white gold?
 
White gold is definetly more my budget, I''ll even do 14K! Size doesn''t matter too much, but I did want atleast .75.. and cut and clarity doesn''t have to be perfect for a jeweler under a microscope, but I dont want it to be cloudy or have tons of flaws you can see with the naked eye. Looking at charts, I think I could go as low as H for color? and maybe SI1? Is that pushing it too low?

Ok, lets see what we can find. H colour and SI1 or even SI2 clarity is not pushing it too low if the cut is great and the diamond verified eyeclean by a trusted vendor.

What do you think about this setting and band that Breann suggested on the other post.. I think I might like it.. I really wanted the band to sit flush and it seems like this one would!

Pearlmans is a highly regarded business, contact Bill and ask him and also how much the centre diamond would be of top quality cut.
 
Ya, give WF a call. I would assume the halo will fit the stone and since WF didn''t specifically state the setting is only for round, I post that setting.

Would be nice with SC or L's suggestions! It looks like a band would sit flush (also true w/ the Ritani; not sure about the other WF halo, but I think so too).

ETA: looking at the other WF halo ring, it definitely seems like a band would sit flush. So you have a few options! I'm not as much a fan of the Pearlman's ring (for the price, I prefer the Ritani a whole lot more). Have fun!

Ok, I went to the local jewelery store, family owned, very nice. Of course I feel in love with a ring I can''t afford.. Tacori Ring

So now I''m looking for something similar.. any suggestions?
 
Isn''t that similar to the WF Diamond Braid setting that you link above?
 
Oh yes, it is.. except the tacori ring allows a band to sit flush.. I was hoping for maybe another option besides the whiteflash one, which won''t allow a band to sit flush.
 
OIC. I think WF design it that way so as not to go into copyright infringement of the Tancori design.
