I have been looking for a while, and it seems many sites don''t have many asschers I like lately. However, I did find this one on Excel Diamonds.

It has the ideal scope picture, but I don''t really know what that means.

What do you think? Should I keep looking?

too much leakage on the p3 facets so its dark center, keep looking in my opinion.
Contact a vendor and set them looking for one.
IF is overkill if possible go down to vs1 or vs2 and up in size.

Thanks strmrdr.

IF isn''t a goal, I just liked the pattern on the diamond. I am certainly willing to go down to VS2.

The search continues...

What about this one?

It says Good cut. Does that mean I shouldn''t consider it?
need an IS image and crown height but it looks very promising so far.
If the crown height matches the small table and depth and the IS checks out it is a kicken asscher.

Its slightly on the borderline deep side but if the depth is in the crown that is kewl.
1.03 ratio should be ok for most people at that size.
The good rating is based on numbers and numbers drool pictures rule.
Id consider it myself and get the IS and crown height to make the decision.

Here is the IS for this diamond.

Sarin Reports to come, unless I should strike them from my list.

Sorry, this is the link for the 2nd diamond.

Hope this one works!

Here is the IS for this diamond.
Is it me or does this picture look super tilted?

It looks super tilted to me, too. Does that impact the accuracy of the Idealscope? Hopefully not. It looks nice to me (the 2nd one), but I would wait for better trained eyes to weigh in.

Here is the IS for this diamond.
I'd skip this one, borderline bad p3 angles.

Have this one redone, the image itself is bad, cant tell on the stone.

I had the IS retaken for this diamond. Thoughts?

I have requested the sarin report, but they haven''t emailed it to me yet.

Definitely looks better than the other, but I would wait to hear from others who know more than I do.

But, I am dying to know how you are going to set your asscher once you find it. Any thoughts on this yet?

Right now I am looking at antique-ish settings with pave diamonds and hand engraving on the side. But first, I must tackle the diamond!

looks good in the latest IS...
Have an in person eval. done by JA and get an opinion on center brightness.
This is one that really needs an aset image to eval remotely so you will have to rely on JA to eyeball it for you or send it to an appraiser.
I think it should be ok and if so overall its excellent.

Thanks storm! When I get the sarin report, what should I look for as far as crown height for that diamond?

Thanks storm! When I get the sarin report, what should I look for as far as crown height for that diamond?
10%+ is the normal answer with that table and depth my guess is its around 14%-15% maybe more which is a good thing.

*bump*

Did you get the Sarin report? Is this the one? Just wondering. . .

I have not got the Sarin report yet. Dave from JA said it is taking a while for some reason, but I am hoping it is the one!

I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Finally got the Sarin Report! Is it a winner?

crown height is great.
If JA gives it a thumb up for center brightness then I think its kicken.

Looks like good news to me. Let us know what you hear from JA!

Sarin looks great! Hope you hear back from JA that the center is bright!

call mike at www.overnightdiamonds.com or mia at www.sohogem.com

tell them ken thom sent you... i know them very well and they can get you pretty much anything with small markups

I talked with Dave today about the diamond. He called the NY office so they could look at it. They said it was amazing and they didn''t know why it was not listed as an ideal cut because it looks incredible (they said something that made it sound even better, but I can''t remember their phrase)! So hopefully, it will be here before the weekend. Then it is up to BF to set it and propose!
