Hi Everyone,
I am trying to find a setting for an emerald cut that emulates the Tiffany''s tapered baguette look. Does anyone know of a good place to look for such a setting? I would like it to be as exact as possible to the real thing. I have seen several similar settings on White Flash, BlueNile, etc. but none of them catch my eye as much. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Let''s see if this posts.

This is the other view. The setting is from Dimend Scaasi. I think it can be made for any shape center stone. But you have to buy the diamond from them. It is not exactly like the Tiffany, but I think it is one of the better quality ones. It is on my list of possibilities for a round center stone.

Thanks for the suggestion. That setting looks really nice and I like it. It''s pretty close to the Tiffany''s setting. Are you pretty sure that you have to buy the center stone from them, becasue I am planning on buying that separately? Anyone else have any ideas?

Here you go...tiffany replica for emerald cut diamond...excel diamonds

Wow! That looks almost excact. Is that an actual picture of the setting on the exceldiamonds website or just a copied image from the Tiffany''s site? It really does look exact. Well, does anyone have any experience with exceldiamonds? Good quality stuff?

I would assume it''s the replica they make...I can imagine they wouldn''t copy tiffany''s picture as I would think that would have some type of copyright issues...just a guess though. I think if you do a search about excel you''ll find some info on them. I can''t remember reading anything bad about them but I haven''t dealt with them myself. Good luck!

Well.. if there was copyright involved, I should be in jail by now (with all those photoshopped piectures making a thick file!).

Maybe the rings are very nice. Tiffany as well as 10000 other jewelers make the same very classic style. Can''t believe there were the same photographer and website-making company involved with both jewelers, even if the bench jewelers are as just as competent.

My 2c. I don''t mean to say anything non-neutral about Excel - making jewelry is one, websites... another. Great when they go hand in hand, but... so what if they don''t.

The excel ring looks great in person. A friend of mine has it and its is such a great replica of Tiffany''s. Great workmanship too. I own a pair of studs from excel and they were very professional to work with.

I don''t mean to start waves, but I swear that if you compare the pictures on the Excel website and the Tiffany''s website they are exactly the same. Shadow for shadow, line for line. Even the stones are exact. I just want to make sure that they are showing a picture of what I would actually get. Thoughts?

Yes it is the same picture... as far as I can tell. And it looks darn obvious too! And no, neither Tiffany not Excel presentes it as anything but a 'representative' photo. Obviously... if belongs to one, not the other even as that. The only way to know what Excel's settings look like is to ask them, I am affraid.

Now, I wonder if the gesture of borrowing the respective picture is in any way an indication of what Excel's product looks like

Otherwise, It sounds like you would want a classic setting made to match the stones (not the case with the usual peg mountings that are supposed to work with a range of sizes and fit perfectly none... 'guess that is what you saw at Blue Nile and elsewhere).

Wonder if Vatche doesn't make such a thing. Their round & baguette setting looks quite compelling.

Icemine lists soem terrific custom settings involving large step cut diamonds. It doesn't take any stretch of the imagination to place a baguette set one right next to them (actually, forget imagination - the maker of those settings they mention has a website at www.artofplatinum.com )

I was just harboring a guess. The best way to know is to call and ask!
