I have been exhaustingly looking for a diamond for the last few months but always seem to end up at a dead end for one reason or another. I am looking for a round diamond in the .75 carat area for around $2200. I want a stone that is at least eye clean (SI1 or better), near colorless (H or better), and with at least an ideal cut. I am basically looking for the highest quality diamond and biggest in size for my price range. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is $2200 for the diamond only? Or does that include price for a setting?

The best I could find with an IDEAL cut, in your color/clarity range was this:

With pricescope discount you might be looking at 2600. A little over budget, but this is a superb cut diamond.

This is closer to your budget, but I in color (which really shouldn''t be a problem at all when set)

I also checked goodoldgold.com and jamesallen, but didn''t really find anything I like for much cheaper. Maybe someone else can find a steal.

Welcome ant!

Here is a nice diamond of AGS0 cut grade -

Another, make sure the cloud inclusion isn't affecting brilliance for this one by asking the vendor to check it - also with all SI clarity grades to include the diamonds listed below, check with the vendor that they are eyeclean and make your expectations concerning this known. For example if you don't want to see any visible inclusions at any angle or distance, make sure you tell the vendor that so you are both on the same page.

Again check the cloud with this one and request a hearts image if interested in it as it is sold as h&a

Thanks. That price is just for the stone. I have read some horror stories about crystals in their diamonds. Anyone here have any input as well as any other deals you guys may dig up? :)

Crystals should be no more problematic than some other inclusions, what are you concerned about, durability?

I am concerned about all aspects I suppose. This will be my first diamond purchase that values over $500 and I want to ensure I get the best product with the highest quality no matter what. Just the same nerves any diamond purchaser goes through I guess.

Let''s see if this will post...

Several of us seek JA, because he is efficient with a dollar, and you have requirements that stain.

On the linked option, consider asking for an IS...but it could be a firey option...also slightly, at $2420, above your budget, but getting you to .75, and also, G and VS2.

I dont see a link regluar guy
