Hi @DejaWiz and @lovedogs ,

I would like to donate a pair of studs to a charity for special needs children that our family has been involved with for years. I would like to spend 1K-1.5K (preferably with sertting). I am hoping for around 2 ctw. I am open to G-H-I color and down to SI for clarity as long as the inclusions don't effect the fire and brilliance. They will use them in a silent auction so I want them to be eye-catching.

I would appreciate any help you can give.

(PS. Just wondering. Spending the same amount of money, do you think any of the suppliers would be willing to increase the specs (size) if they get a mention at the event and a receipt for a donation? It is a national charity.). I've never seen this mentioned on here, so if it's unacceptable, just ignore this.

Alex Parks often has pairs in that size within that price range. All his pairs include the setting. I know of him through instagram but I believe he also has a website. His business name might be Parks Fine Jewelry but I'm not sure about that. HTH!

Thanks. I do know about Alex Parks and follow him on IG. It's just that his studs seem to go so fast and I don't want to make a rush decision, unless multiple people are willing to tell me that the've bought from them and are happy with the purchase.
I see all the ways that PSr's look at diamonds, ASET, GIA, IS. While I realize studs are not the same as a ring, I still want something that is going to sparkle in all lights.

Can someone who has worked with Alex Parks say if they were able to get more photos/videos, etc.?

It always seems that his business model is super fast sales vs. lots of customer interaction but it couldn't hurt to ask for more pictures or videos. The pair he listed yesterday is still available at a good price.

You could let him know of your plans and he may appreciate the opportunity to be part of the fundraiser.

Good luck to you!

Found what I think is going to be a great set:

1.10 E VS1
6.67 x 4.06 mm
40.7/34.3/57
$560

1.09 E VS1
6.65 x 4.06 mm
40.6/33.8/55
$614

Thanks Deja. I'll find you on reddit (I've never been on reddit, but I'll figure it out!) to get all the details.

So, I'm on reddit and I've found and followed you. Is there a way to DM or just chat?

Shart a chat with me, as DM has been broken since the last few app updates.

It tells me "unable to invite selected invitee"

Do you mind sharing your username here? I'll be active now, so I can try to start a chat with you, them you can delete it here fairly quickly.

I'm u/momofive123 if you can start chat with me. I've never used the site so trying to figure out how it all works. It's also not letting me follow you. I hit follow and it flashes "unfollow" and goes back to follow.

Done!

@DejaWiz
Hi. Sorry I missed you on Reddit. I'm home all night so please try me when you have a chance.

@DejaWiz - I ordered those two diamonds and found a coupon as well! Thank you for your help. I'll post photos when I get them.

@DejaWiz I've been to inquire for a while now...I notice that with some of the sites you share from, when I go to take a look at their stock, it seems I have to send an email to inquire. Is this typical of, for example, ecolightdiamond.com, where the first stone is linked from, that they don't show their stock online?

That's just the video link, not from the seller.
If there's one drawback to any forum, it's all the anonymous lurkers that swoop in and snipe recommendations before the member that the recommendations are intended for have a chance to even look at them. I'm trying my best to not post actual seller links until the intended member is real-time on the site and ready to click/view so that they don't miss out.

Thanks, @DejaWiz I totally get not posting the actual items. My question is that when I go to view, for example, the in-stock stones, I get a pop-up that states I need to contact staff and advise what I want. I’m unable to simply view stock.

Do you ask for specifics each time or is there some way to view without asking?

Sorry, I probably didn't convey my last message good enough: the video hosted on ecolightdiamonds is merely what pops up when I click the video link on the actual seller's site...I'm not searching ecolightdiamonds: they're probably the vendor or distributor that has physical possession of the diamond.

I second the recommendation for Alex Parks on Instagram. There are 2 sets (including setting) that were listed today around 2ctw with settings. I have purchased frequently from them and have always been happy with my purchases. Great value for the quality.

I had inquired on the two sets that were up yesterday, but they were both sold. His stuff goes fast.

I second Alex Parks. I bought a pair of 2.7tcw and I’m very happy with them. You should put notifications on for his IG lab posts and you do have to be ready to move quickly. What a generous and beautiful gesture to donate them, by the way! ❤️

He has a great eye for cut. I’ve bought many things (LGD and natutal) from him sight unseen and have been thrilled.

Thanks. That's good to know for the future as you have to make quick decisions with him. I've ordered the two that DejaWiz suggested and am waiting for confirmation they can get them.

Here are the two diamonds that @DejaWiz recommended for the studs. I am having them set in stuller martini settings.

They are 1.09 & 1.10 ct. E VS1

Of course, they sparkle way more than is shown in the video. When I get them back from the jeweler I will take some outdoor photos. Thank you DejaWiz for your help!

Hopefully they have met your expectations and are not falling short of what you were envisioning.

Yea. They are beautiful and will be perfect.

Just picked them up today. They are stunning. The camera can’t capture the fire and scintillation. The red you are seeing is from my camera body. Even if i comer it with white, the little bit at the lens is reflected. But you get the idea! Thank you again @DejaWiz IMG_3361.jpeg
