Hi everyone, I have posted a few times and have gotten great info so I'm hoping you guys can gelp me out!

Michael Fried at Truth About Diamonds showed me this stone from Zoara. It seems to hit my marks of being over 1.6ct, Ideal cut, at least I color, HCA under 2, eye clean, and price under $13k. However, the fact that it is listed as IF makes me think there must be something wrong that I am missing. I also looked up the GIA number and saw it sold on eBay recently which I dont understand....

Can you guys take a look and let me know what you think? I have it on hold right now. Thanks very much

That guy at "Truth About Diamonds" lied.
Hahahaha!

The HCA is not under 2.
It's 5.5 so I'd reject it.
It is a poorly-cut diamond so it will have inferior light performance.

I hope you are not paying that guy a penny.
You don't need him to pick a superb diamond an a low price.
You need us, and we are free.

You can plug 4 numbers from a GIA report into the HCA yourself.

I'd also reject it because it is I IF.
Why pay zillions of bucks for IF if you are settling for such low color?
IMO, grades like F VS1 are more balanced and reasonable.

Even when you find a round that scores under 2.0 don't buy it yet.
HCA is a rejection tool, not an acceptance one.
The next step is to get an Idealscope pic.

Compare it to this chart.
