Hello All,

I am wanting to purchase diamond stud earrings, round brilliants between 0.75 and 0.8 each, and am trying to decide on colour. I have done some research on the internet which indicates to me that it is not possible for the human eye to detect the difference between an F, G, H or I colour once the diamond has been set (I am planning on a white gold setting). I have looked in jewellery stores and I cannot tell the differences between these colour grades, however, I am keen to hear the opinion of others as I will be purchasing on-line and hence won''t see the diamonds before I purchase. Any thoughts, comments will be much appreciated.

This might help http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/Color/NearColorless/ btw, welcome to Pricescope

Mine are ideal cut, H, VS2 at .75 each, and I have no desire for a higher color (and I am picky about diamonds!). They look great on!

Dear Skippy123, thank-you very much for the website - it''s great - very informative and will help a lot with my decision making
I am new to Pricescope and was very excited to find responses to my query already - thank you!

If you are looking at ideal cuts, I''d shoot for H-I. What is available size wise may determine to a certain extent what you end up with. I would suggest being open to two different color grades.

i.e. I have WF studs, one is G, the other is H. I can''t tell them apart off my ear, let alone on.
