Hi all,

Please help me compare these two diamonds! They're almost identical (color, size, etc.) so really just looking for which one will perform ever so slightly better if there's a clear winner between them. Appreciate any thoughts, thanks!

This one mentions "Pinpoints not shown". Is that anything to be concerned about?

Pinpoints Not Shown likely nothing to worry about, as that is usually a comment made by the diamond grader that they noticed them during magnified inspection, but they are extremely insignificant and only notated for the benefit of knowledge that they exist.

I think these two diamonds are so very close in specs that they would be indistinguishable if sat side-by-side. If one is priced meaningfully less than the other, then I'd be inclined to save the money and go with the cheaper one.

Do either have any fluorescence?

Agree with DejaWiz! They are so similar, I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference even next to each other. I watched the videos and could not discern any difference. I wouldn't worry about "pinpoints not shown," especially at this clarity grade. If push came to shove, I like the second one just a tad more for the table size.

The fluorescence is negligible for both.

Thanks for your opinions, I know it's basically splitting hairs at this point! Just curious since you said you prefer the table size on the second, is a smaller table size (within the desired range) preferable and why?

It's purely personal preference. Even knowing that my eyes would not be able to tell the difference between them, my mind likes to think that a smaller table combined with a taller crown height may result in more colored light return over white light return. It is definitely splitting hairs at this point!

At this point, the best thing to do would have someone who can see them in person and evaluate them (talk you through them).
Also, viewing them side-by-side is helpful because people tend to start to have feelings for one over the other. Its usually noting
you can put your finger on... it's just a look or a feeling.

Do you have links to these stones (put them on hold)? People may be able to tell you which one they like and why.

Here's a side by side picture if that helps! Option 1 is on the left and Option 2 is on the right.

Did they send you any other photos that are not so close up?

I can clearly see the smaller table the stone on the right has. However, the stone on the left looks a smidge larger to me in this pic…..tough choice. Which stone do your eyes like?

Let's split some hairs...can they provide ASET images for both?

Same order as above, option 1 on the left, 2 on the right.

The one on the right, for perfectly bifurcated strands of hair.

Both look great to me, but I prefer the "fatter" arrows of the stone on the left (but that's just a personal preference).

Thanks everyone for your comments, I think I'll go with option 1!
