Hi all,

This is Pauline from Singapore and it will be my first time i am purchasing diamonds online. I'm hoping to receive them in time for my pre-wedding shots mid april :)

I've shortlisted some studs from whiteflash, cannot decide between a 0.4X or 0.5X as they don't seem to be visibly different in size to the naked eye. Is it worth paying extras for a 0.5ct?

I am not sure if it will be a good choice to pick S11 clarity and I color as afriad there will be tinge of yellowness or they might not be eye clean. However, I am also concern about paying unnecessarily for better criteria which makes no difference to the naked eye.

To sum up, near colorleess, well cut, superior brilliance and naked eye clean studs please.

Or would you recommend I search on a different set of criteria, my budget is approx $2.5-3K

Thanks vm!

#1 & 5 are the same stone.

anyway, i do want the stone's diameter to match up pretty close for earrings. G x H color shouldn't be a problem.

I''d get a pair with matching diameters. If they are both ACA I see no issues with color varying by a grade or two.

The .5s will look slightly bigger, but not much, and for me I don''t think it would be worth the extra money. But if you have the money for it, go for it:-)

Eitherway they will be gorgeous. My earrings are .25 ACAs and they look way bigger b.c they sparkle so much.

IMO, .40ish sized diamonds are so close to .50ish that going a tad smaller to save money makes sense. In fact, you''re saving enough to fund a second project

As far as color, G is a great color for studs and you don''t have to worry about them being tinged with yellow. My studs are F color and I do think that they were a bit of an overkill when it comes to color. The reason I chose F is because I had a strict budget and couldn''t spend the amount it would cost for .50+ stones, so I picked the highest color I could find within my lower budget, which happened to be F.
