Yes, the F is certainly not a bad choice. It has a very nice ASET, probably better than 90% of the princesses on the market. Also, the gemologist at JA gave it a good review. Considering that the other 2 choices aren't available, I think this is the best you'll find at JA in your price range.
To explain what I don't like about it...perhaps it's the photography, but there's just something about the contrast pattern in the photo that I don't like as much as the others. The X shape in the middle looks quite dark, whereas the contrast patterns in the E and G diamonds are more evenly distributed. Again, since the ASET is nice, it may not be visually apparent in real life and is hopefully just a camera trick.
If you have doubts about it, consider the other 2 diamonds I recommended from GOG and BGD...but you would be compromising clarity with the GOG and size with the BGD, and you would have to pick another setting and probably wouldn't get the ring in time for the weekend.

. The proposal is set for this Saturday at Lawry's. Had a friend make a facebook event of all our close friends (32). Only a handful know what is going on. The event is supposed to be his going away party, but he's not really leaving
