I am new to posting, but have been reading the site for several months. Everybody seems very knowledgeable and I have learned a lot by reading all of the different posts. Thanks to everybody!

I am looking for a 2 carat diamond and to stay within size and budget range, have narrowed it to 2 choices. I would appreciate your thoughts and feedback.

The first is an I VS2. I have posted the diamond plot diagram. It scores below 2 on the HCA and is ex ex ex vg. I really like this diamond, but am concerned about the feathers and their location. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

The next is an H SI1. I like the H color and was told that the inclusions are not visible. I did ask for an Ideal scope image, and I am waiting for that. The H has a table of 60 and depth of 59.4. It scores 1.5 on the HCA with vg ex vg ex. My concern is the light return. Any thoughts on the inclusions would also be appreciated.

Both diamonds have excellent cut, polish and symmetry.

I really want the diamond to sparkle. The I is a known performer and is an AGS Platinum Lights diamond. The H is GIA.

Any thoughts or concerns about the diamonds? Does one appear better than the other. The prices are very similar, and I really want the nicer looking diamond.

I would appreciate any feedback.

I prefer the inclusions on the first diagram. The second appears to have a large inclusion in the center of the table.

I'd have to see the magnified images and idealscopes. I prefer H color, but I do prefer the VS2 clarity especially in larger stones. So I'd have to see how these inclusions look in the actual stones to have a better feel.

What is your budget?

Ditto regarding clarity and color. Especially in that size.
