As I continue to get good advice, my search has continued. Hopefully this is my last questions and I can decide on one of these!

The "words" on the GIA certs all look good to me, and they score well on the HCA. Once again I'm wondering about the lines on the diagrams. Can you explain what they mean, and why or why not I shoudl worry about them? Which would be the best (if any are worth it)?

Thanks again!

The lines are an "inclusion plot". They show what type of imperfections are present in the diamond, and where they are located. Most likely, because your diamonds are VS1 and better, none of the inclusions can be seen with the naked eye under normal viewing conditions. However, it is recommended to ask the vendor to confirm whether a diamond under consideration is "eye clean".

As far as which diamond to choose (if any), this decision cannot be made unless the vendor provides high-magnification photos, IdealScope images, and/or ASET images. Who is the vendor?

GIA and AGS VS1s are always eyeclean. If you are really concerned, ask, but it is really not necessary. I have a VS1 and with a regular 10x loupe I can't even find my inclusions.

As for the rest, can your vendor get you an idealscope image?

what's the price on them?

as drk said, you should get at the very minimum HD photos of it but idealy IS/ASET images if possible... if neither of this is an option, to me, it's a choice between #1 and #3

#3 has the more "ideal" proportions in terms of HCA/TIC... it's slightly smaller... negligible, but smaller... what keeps me away from it is a lack of fluorescence... it might really be helpful for an I colored stone, and it probably increases the price of it is well

#1 I'm slightly turned off my the 41.2 pavilion angle... it's really the last angle that's acceptable in a diamond with those measurements, but remember, it could be rounded down too, so you would probably want to be at 41 rather than 41.2... you'd want a shallower crown with 41.2 pavilion, probably somewhere in the 32 range... that stone falls outside of 2.0 on HCA... it does have a few things going for it... fluorescence might make an I stone look whiter, it will likely decrease the price and the stone is a little larger... I know it's not visible in comparison to #3, but 1.5 is a popular size... it might not be visible compared to 7.35mm but it might be visible vs 7.2mm-7.25mm

bottom line, I would go for #3 if it's only these three... but I could consider #1 if the price is significantly different...

#2 isn't bad per se... but #3 and #2 are very similar and #3 SHOULD be better based purely on stats... I don't see any reason why #2 would beat #3 if you can have #3... price difference maybe? they are very similar stones...

Thanks for the input! The vendor is Solomon Brothers. I'm not sure if they can provide idealscope images, I'll inquire.

I don't think they can. Are you married to them as your vendor?

They're all close. Below is the cash prices, I believe they also have a pricescope discount.

1 is $10,734
2 is $11,073
3 is $11,022

I'm not dead set on them. They just seemed to have a decent diamond selection along with the Tacori setting I want.

Check out these options from Good Old Gold (also a Tacori vendor), which have confirmed light performance analysis:

1.5ct, I, SI1
(this would probably be my pick)

1.55ct, I, SI1

I'd ask GOG to make a video of those two stones side-by-side and let your eyes choose which you prefer!

Whiteflash carries tacori as well. They usually have broad selection. Take a look. Eyeclean SI1 is really all you need with clarity. I wouldn't spend money on a VS1 in a round, personally. There's no reason to.

I would personally focus on Good Old Gold and WhiteFlash since they provide all the info and images on the diamonds to make a decision as well as being Tacori dealers.
