Hi-

Thank goodness for pricescope! I visit this website almost every day and I love it and appreciate everyone''s knowledge.

I need help choosing a RB, over 1 karat, color G or F, and clarity VS1-VS2.

Below is a link to what I''m kinda looking for. What do you think about the diamond? Does anyone have any other suggestions? What vendor would you recommend (I''ve searced JA & WF)?

Thanks in advance for everyone''s help.

Most people aren''t going to say go with a specific vendor. All of the PS vendors are good. I''ve seen pretty rings from all of them.

Here are some things to consider when choosing the right vendor:
1. The setting-it''s usually easier to get the stone and setting from the same vendor, so you may want to go with a vendor who carries the setting that you like.
2. The return policy-most vendors have a 30 day money back guarantee, but not all. Whiteflash only offers the 30 day on their ACA stones
3. The upgrade policy

I think for the ES stone too. Just not sure what they mean by selected ES stone, you can check with them. 10 days are definitely for stones you call through them from the virtual inventory.

Thanks everyone-

I''ve requested idealscopes for the 2 diamonds you suggested.
I appreciate any other suggestions.
What is the biggest difference between the H&A diamond and the other one?
Does H&A have more sparkle or what is it?
I''ve heard all the rage about H&A but I''m trying to figure out what makes them so spectacular?

H&A means excellent optical symm but not all excellent optical symm stone will have H&A pattern. Also H&A does not automatically equated to cut performance, cut performance has more to do with the proportion of the stone.

With regards to more sparkle, not necessary, the experts are still debating about the effect of optical symm on cut performance.

Yes I forgot that some ES stones. The stone I''m getting(hopefully) is an ES and it only has a 10 day return period. But thanks for clearing that up, I should have mentioned that.

H&A is a type of strict precision cutting, this results in top optical symmetry in some cases which gives an arrow pattern to a diamond when viewed face up, and a hearts pattern when viewed face down. You can sometimes find stones with good optical symmetry which don't have the most effective proportions, in particular the crown and pavilion angles which are the engines which drive light return. With the branded cuts such as ACA, Infinity and some others these have both top optical symmetry and top notch proportions so not only will you have an excellent h&a pattern but performance as sparkle, fire and brilliance too. There are diamonds available which show a good but slightly imperfect to quite imperfect h&a pattern that also have excellent proportions, if you aren't concerned with having a picture perfect h&a then these can be an option.
