I''m hoping to propose soon, but I need a little advice on my diamond. I''m looking at getting the following 3-stone ring, size 4.5:

http://www.jamesallen.com/products/item_58-2115_build.asp?module=setting

I''m thinking about getting a 0.54ct diamond for the center stone with the following stats:

Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.54
Cut: Hearts & Arrows Ideal
Color: G
Clarity: VS1
Certificate: AGS
Depth: 61.4%
Table: 56%
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Girdle: Thin to medium
Cutlet: None
Fluorescence: Negligible
Crown angle: 33.9
Crown %: 14.9
Pavilion angle: 40.9
Pavilion %: 42.9

I''m attaching the picture...

Does this seem like a good diamond? Is there anything that I should be concerned about? I appreciate the help!

I love that setting! I have a similar picture printed out for my boyfriend : )

You can check out some variations on that from these designers'' websites:
Scott Kay
Veraggio
and on SolomonBrothers.com (#86026, #73102)

The prices are probably more significant, but, perhaps you could find a local jeweler to customize something if you liked one better.

Sorry, can''t comment on the diamond, too inexperienced.

Good luck!

That diamond looks great, nothing to worry about. You may consider dropping in clarity to get a larger stone. in that carat weight you could go to a SI and most of the time it would be eye-clean. I bought a 0.83 carat Ideal cut H-SI1 from JA for my center stone (of my three stone ring) and it is white as can be and totally eye-clean...

Thanks for the advice/input! I''ll check out the suggestions...
