I am concerned about if diamond 2 or 3 would be eyeclean or not. This site i am buying from doesn't provide actual zoom images.
Please suggest

Thanks

Of the three, I'm not a fan of #3 because of the low crown and the crystal inclusion.

Based on numbers/specs, #1 is my first choice - largest face-up size, VS2 clarity (with twinning wisp the 1st listed inclusion), and colorless to boot.

The #2 stone could be eyeclean but if images aren't available and the vendor cannot provide an opinion, I'd only go with this one if you have time to buy/return and are okay with starting search again if the stone isn't eyeclean to your satisfaction. If vendor does say it is eyeclean, at $550 less expensive than #1, it may be worthwhile to check it out in person.

If you'd like other diamond suggestions from PSers, let us know - I'm guessing your budget max is $2500 and you'd like a colorless/near colorless diamond apx 0.70ct... I did a quick check at WhiteFlash but didn't see anything within budget. I can look further if you would like more options.

Thank you so much for the evaluation. Yes I am open to suggestions from PSers and my max budget is 2600

I would not buy any diamond without magnified photos. There are many vendors who provide them. Even better are those who will provide idealscope or ASET images to show light return. It would be very dangerous to buy an SI stone without images. #1 is the only one of these that I would consider fairly safe to buy.

Okay, if you're trying to stay at 0.70ct or above, I couldn't find anything eyeclean and well-cut within a $2600 budget - I checked at WhiteFlash, Good Old Gold, James Allen, and High Performance Diamonds ...

However, coming in at $2684 (wire) I did find this (gorgeous) 0.712ct I-VS2 Signature H&A at Brian Gavin Diamonds - http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d.../0.712-i-vs2-round-diamond-ags-c-104077451107

If it were me, I'd be very tempted by the BGD stone if I could stretch to the extra $$$ - it is near colorless and an AGS Triple O super-ideal cut diamond - and BGD has many beautiful settings too.

In comparison, the F-VS2 choice listed first in your opening post is a very nice contender but I ran the AGA Cut Class Tool and it scored a 1B (https://www.pricescope.com/tools/AGA_NAJA_Cut_Class_Grader); I do think the BGD would out-perform it and be noticeably brighter and flashier. Still, the F-VS2 would be a solid choice if colorless is a top priority.

If you are open to going down to the 0.60-0.65 carat range, there would be more options, but then you're looking at a face-up of apx 5.4-5.5mm.

@marymm

Thanks a lot for your research. I liked the Brian Gavin diamond you posted but color and price being my only concern. I am still leaning towards #1 I posted (colorless and 200$ diff) . If the light performance difference between these two is something to think about then I would reconsider this. Also how is Twinning Wisp, Feather as the impurity (is it a good thing or bad) in #1

^ Talking pure numbers and specs, no doubt the BGD stone is the better cut, better performing stone; but the F-VS2 diamond is well-cut and colorless and should be a solid performer. (FWIW, myself, I love a well-cut colorless diamond with fluorescence, so my personal pick would be the F-VS2.)

As to inclusions, per diamond expert John Pollard: "Twinning wisps are areas produced by crystal structure distortion. If your VS2 was graded by a lab with the strictness of the AGS or GIA you should not be able to detect it. It will not influence light performance."
(here's the link to the PS thread where I pulled that quote - https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/twinning-wisp.39935/)

Similarly, John Pollard says: "A VS feather won't be a concern if graded by a top lab."
(and here's the link to the PS thread where I pulled that quote - https://www.pricescope.com/communit...in-vs2-stone.150112/?hilit=clarity inclusions)

Thank you so much. You are awesome. Yes the #1 diamond has been graded by GIA. Most probably I'll be going with it. I'll post the pictures once I get it. :-)
Thank you everyone.

Pulled the trigger and purchased #1. Will post pictures when I get it. Thanks guys. :)
