Looking at two 2ct. Princess cut stones.

Which would you prefer?

Is the $10K increase for the F Color over the I Color worth it?????

Both ACAs are lovely. As for the question about whether $10K is worth it for an increase in colour from I to F, is a more subjective question. Let's put it this way: fancies like a princess cut will show more body colour. Add to the fact that it is a very large stone, it is also more likely to show more warmth. So side by side, you WILL see the difference in colour. Whether this is worth it to you or not, I cannot say. Given a choice, I will go with the F. If budget is a concern, then take the I. I suppose there's no other options in between?

Have you called around to other vendors (GOG, ERD, James Allen) & talked to whiteflash about sourcing some more AGS0 princesses? Unless it''s imperative you buy this diamond in the next few days, I would wait until you can get a diamond with color inbetween the two you''re looking at. The wait could end up saving you a lot of money.

Since I am also looking for a 2ct engagement ring I am going to tel you my honest opinnion NO it''s not worth it. I think an I will face up White. However if you are very color sensitive and would like to tell people that you have a F color diamond than maybe it''s for you. I saw that the I color one was sold did you buy it? I hope so. What setting are you looking for?

I have the "I" on hold.

She wants a pave style setting.

It is a difficult decision to make without seeing the diamond!

I guess if I buy from WF I can trade up later????

The I should face up very white. If you saw the two side by side I imagine that you could probably tell the difference between the two. However, once the diamond is set it will be super sparkly and gorgeous and no one will ever see anything but that!

And WF has a return policy as well as an upgrade policy, so you could always return it or just upgrade the color of the diamond later if you're unhappy with it. I'm betting you and your girlfriend will be thrilled with it, though!

ETA: Obviously I don't think you should pay $10k more for the F! Go for the I!

I have an H, just one step above an I, and it faces up white. So no, I don''t think the F color is worth $10,000.00 more. Put that into a setting or a new car or a mutual fund. My humble opinion.
