I wanted peoples input on the following two potential diamonds.

2.06 GIA - si1, g, ex cut,
2.16 - GIA - si1, g, ex cut,

I have looked at HCA and both get a score under 2.

What else can I use besides HCA and GIA report of (cut, sym, polish) for help?

Also, what experiences to people have negotiating with price? Is this common at all or are internet offers take/it/or leave it? If negotiation is possible, what is the best way to handle it? What can I expect (shoot for) in terms of discount?

Eternity Diamonds is already very low priced since they are basically drop shippers who provide no extra services. I would only buy from a vendor who can show magnified images of the stone as well as an idealscope image. You'll pay a little more, but it is worth it when you are spending that kind of money. I especially wouldn't buy an SI1 without images and a gemologist to inspect the stone for me. It is quite possible those stones are pictured on other sites. Check James Allen and see if they are there.

+1.

Logically, the next step for you is to get IS images or ASET images... You already took the first two steps, and the HCA is now telling you these are worth investigating further! :wavey: Tell us which you decide on, if you end up going with either of these!

I am also including the specs to help anyone who has input.

I have a slight problem with trying to find the image. It seems like I cannot find a site that "has possession" of this diamond. I am not sure the best way to get any of the images, given this fact.

They aren't listed in JA's inventory. You could contact ID jewelry and give them the report #, they may be able to call the stone in for you and do the evaluation and images for you. I wouldn't purchase without the additional information.

I am having trouble finding a clear simple guidelines which list the general wisdom steps I should (ie look at HCA, idealscope, what to do when you decide for appraisal) take to buy a round diamond off of an internet vendor. Is there any place that has this on this site?

Thank you!
