So I was able to purchase a previously owned Beverly K platinum ring for quite the bargain. The only problem is that the ring is a size 6 and my fiance is a size 7. I took the ring to a local jeweler and they said it won''t be a problem to resize but there would be a small line down the center shank. I don''t think that''s right. Should you be able to tell that a ring has been resized?

So my question is, where would you recommend that I get it resized? I know Pearlman''s sells Beverly K, but the ring didn''t come from there.

Help!

I''d take it to the finest jewelry store you can find and get another opinion.

If they use a laser weld then there will be NO line on the shank. I would find a jeweler that has a laser welder. It is the strongest and will look the best. Don't let them sodder the ring because it will leave a line and will not be nearly as strong. The laser equipment is expensive so some jewelers don't have it. For more info google "ring laser welding" or your can check it out on youtube.

Yeah, get a second opinion..
