Help between different diamonds

I'm going to propose to my girlfriend this valentine's day.

my friend bought the e-ring for his girlfriend from Brian Gavin and likes the experience. I was looking at similar diamonds. I need some insight/help from the community.

I'm considering a few different stones:

I'm told that its eye-clean

I saw that WhiteFlash is a little cheaper. its a lot bigger. Its VS2 so there shouldn't be any issue with the clarity.

Why would WhiteFlash be so much cheaper?

also, I'm concerned about color. My friend got a G, would there be a lot of difference, between the G and an I? I'm going to be setting this in white gold. Am I better off going down in size and getting a G like this?

I think you may have misread the prices - the WF is 10k more!

What setting are you going to choose? Yes, there will be a difference in colour if your SO and your friends FI put their rings next to each other and compare. But everyone's on a budget and we all have to prioritise, and your SO might prefer a bit more size to a more colourless stone... No way to know without asking her, or having her sister/mother/friend chat with her...

My preference would be for a G VS1 over an I SI1. But some people prefer larger size and lower color. Think about the size diamonds her sisters or best friends have. If they all have 2 ct. stones, then I'd consider going in that direction. But if they all have 1.5 or so, for example, I'd go with the 1.7 G. I'd also consider H.

The price on WF is $34,833.00.... I don't think I'm misreading anything. I was comparing the WF one to BVD

I'm assuming between all these vendors is the same. So let's say I'm considering and H&A diamond from one of them. Here's my question, how would you rank the following different (hypothetical) stones. Again, all H&A all from one of those three:


a- 2.0 ct F SI2
b- 2.00 ct G SI1 (eye-clean)
c- 2.00 ct H VS2
d- 2.00 ct I VS1
e- 2.4 ct J SI1 (eye-clean)



any idea on the price differentials?

This would be set in a classic Tiffany setting band. Would you notice color/defects?
