Hi all !!!!

I had posted on a separate thread too but it had a lot of options as it was the initial phase of my research.

I have already purchased diamond one - ACA 2.001 I VVS2 diamond but am split between diamond two - BGD signature 2.005 I VS2.

Can someone study the two diamonds and comment on the ASET & IS...

diamond one is two grades higher in clarity and $600 more.. which do you think is a better value ??

diamond 1 - 6.82x6.76x5.21

diamond 2 - 6.89 x 6.88 x 5.16 more square and lesser depth.

i feel that diamond 2 has more potential but i am just a layman.
my concern is also that although today diamond 2 is saving me bucks but if I sell in future I will get a better value for diamond 1 being higher grade in clarity... arrrrgh so much to deliberate !!!!!!

You should not buy diamonds as an investment based on what you might get in the future. Buy a stone because you love it and it's what you want now.

I do understand that and appreciate your response ... but I would not have posted this post if I were able to see the two stones side by side in person.

I think you are splitting hairs. Both look gorgeous. The images are incredibly similar for each and, in my OPINION, you will not see a noticeable difference in either. In this instance I would choose whichever is cheaper. I echo the investment statement - you will never recoup what you spent on purchase - only way to do that is through the upgrade policies, of which, both vendors are great.

Some posters feel that an I is too yellow for a round. Combined with the fact that you're purchasing a large princess cut, both of which tend to lead to more perceived color, I would drop some weight for a higher color.

That's exactly what I was going to say...splitting hairs! They are both very nice stones. I would probably save myself the $600.
I have no need for such high clarity.

Who has the setting you want? Or are you going custom?

I had that in mind initially and had posted a ACA 1.8ct H vs2 from WF here which someone else bought before me ( lesson learnt )
I couldn't find a better stone and I don't want to go below 1.75. But for now I have decided ( infact paid ) to get one of the stones but as others have posted I might want to save 600$.
