Hi. I stumbled upon this site today and am overwhelmed with the wonderful information I have found. I have been looking at diamonds and are considering a Radiant cut at BlueNile. I would like to hear what the more knowledgeable audience here at PriceScope has to say about it. Here are the stats:

Unfortunately we can't tell much at all about this diamond, radiants can't be evaluated by the numbers, really photographs and images such as ASET are crucial to be able to see how the diamond may look and perform. Unfortunately BN do not offer these services to the best of my knowledge. Have you looked at some vendors who have in house diamonds with photos and cut analysis? Otherwise it is anyone's guess how this diamond might look. Also the cut label very good doesn't mean a thing unfortunately. Another thing, this diamond has strong fluorescence by the look of it, although this is rare, you would need to check that the fluorescence is indeed blue, and that it doesn't have a negative effect on the diamond in some lighting conditions, such as making the stone look cloudy.

Here is a chart you can use, like I said radiants can't be judged by the numbers, but this chart can give you a point of reference. However do not get hung up on the numbers, otherwise you could miss out on a lovely diamond you might love.

Otherwise BN do have a 30 day return policy which would give you time to look the diamond over and see if you like it.

Thanks Lorelei for your reply. Since I posted my question, I have been reading up on PS about Radiants. Seems like there are two very divided camps about the way they look. I guess I just need to look at more of them to determine how much I really like them.
