help a newbie choose a 1ct diamond

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of buying a 1 ct diamond and need help deciding on which one to pick. The differences are minimal but having a choice makes it hard. Please help me decide.

#1 - 1.00ct, G Color, VS1

On a side note, has any one from Australia ever purchased a diamond from union diamond.com? Was it a pleasant experience?

The F scores lower then the G on the HCA tool located in the tools section. I suggest you run these diamonds stats thru the tool yourself and go from there. The F was a 4.X and the G was a 3.6 but had a note about a potential fisheye. EGL rated both of these stones for color so I would also be careful as a F/G by them is not always or often an F/G by AGS or GIA and I believe the rule of thumb is 2 color grades difference but I could be wrong. I think for your money you can do better finding a stone you can see an actual picture of instead of just a cert and a diagram. Union Diamond suggested me a less then stellar diamond once other then that I have no experience with them.
