its an Round, G, SI1, 3 excellent, with a very small crystal (dark) inclusion dead center in the middle of the table...
honestly without magnification its VERY hard to see because of all the sparkling and reflecting going on. the inclusion, because its dark and in the middle of the stone (as opposed to near surface level) is hard to catch. also, at least in my opinion, because the inclusion is dark (as opposed to a clean white crystal), it ''hides'' better amidst the sparking and reflecting of the diamond.
BUT
i called the other jeweler Ive been working (to tell him I decided to buy from someone else), and he asked about the stone. i basically told him what i just described and he told me:
"you''ll barely see the dark inclusion now, but when the stone gets dirty, which is inevitable, it will be easier to spot that inclusion on the table. diamonds get dirty from lotion and natural oils so once that happens you''ll see the inclusion more easily. because its a dark inclusion it will easily block the light and therefore be easier to see"
so my question to you guys....
is there any truth to this? I know that other jeweler was trying to kill the sale but is there any truth to his slander? I actually thought itd be harder to see inclusions within a diamond if it was dirty (w/ lotion, oils, etc).
i told the jeweler (who Im about to purchase from) this story and they told me the truth is the opposite of what that bitter jeweler told me. I know theyre both trying to make the sale but im so confused and dont know who to believe
. Thanks in advance everyone!
