After months of searching, I've finally narrowed my engagement ring diamond options down to 4. Would definitely appreciate your opinion/advice in choosing from among these finalists!

These are all round brilliants, between 1.28-1.35 carats, and all are H-VS1s, Triple Zeros as rated by AGS, with pointed culets, negligible fluorescence and thin to medium girdles. I've included specs below along with IdealScope images. Three of the four also come with ASET images.

My guess is my girlfriend would favor brilliance over fire, all things being equal... Any of the four below stand out to you as a clear winner or clearly inferior to the other three?

Thanks!

I think that they all look great. If all things are equal I'd go with the largest one.

I vote A or C (although C isn't as appealing symmetrically to me). The others appear to have leakage under the tables in the IS images...

Don't think any of these have any visible leakage. And I am positive that ACA's do not!

I choose D, the 1.348. All the stones look fine but the last one has a nice diameter of 7.1mm. Beautiful diamond.

^I guess I need more practice viewing IS images. I said appeared because under the table in pic B the areas there seemed grayer than the rest, and I thought it was supposed to be red? Or does only pink and white indicate leakage?

So confused... I am beginning to think ASETs are easier to read vs. IS.

You have to have a lot more light pink/white there that that. If you check the angles of the stones, you can see that they are fine. You also don't have to worry when the stones are AGS Ideal cut because they are rated for light performance. I don't know if all the stones are AGS0 or not, but AGS0 stones shouldn't show leakage. And even when the IS reveals a tiny amount, you can't necessarily detect it with the eye. But #D is a great stone and certainly the one I'd choose of these!

Great, thanks again for your help, guys!! Very much appreciated, as you ended up saving me from a shady purchase with DCI that would have cost me thousands more for potentially a lesser diamond to boot.

:D

Oh wow! How great that you came here first! Many of us have been in the same boat. I could have avoided some mistakes if I had found PS even earlier than I did!
