Hello everyone I am newly registered but I have been lurking on and off for a while and have found this forum to be packed with great info. I am hoping to get a few opinions on two stones I am trying to decide on.
Went to jeweler recommended by a few friends and their family (North east metro location if that matters). Looked at 9 stones. Initial price range was ~18k for the entire ring (round brilliant). Setting will be solitaire platinum.

Ideally I would like to be over 2carat because I know that for her bigger is better. After looking at 9 stones I loved the look of a D, but for the sake of size I was happy moving down to G/H (the two I's he showed seemed to my eye to have a tint to them). Ended up picking two clear favorites that happen to have very similar proportions. Main difference to my eye was size, and eye-visible (but possibly coverable) inclusions. I am pretty sure she would not mind the inclusions and would appreciate the larger size, but I want to make sure the price difference is justifiable.

So I am attaching certs for the two that I am considering in hopes that I can get some feedback, especially on price.

Summation:
Choice A: 1.81 H VS2 XXX (he said this was an "ideal" as well) 19k (
Choice B 2.13 G SI2 xxx (faint flour) 21k (this was to me, eyeclean except for localized inclusions that seem to be coverable by prong, I looked at multiple SI1's that I passed on due to inclusions that I could pick up on fairly easily, to me this si2 performed better than the si'1's I saw)
or Keep Looking.

Thank you for any and all feedback!

i think i may not have conveyed what I am looking for in responses. I am mainly asking for your opinions on which of the stones is/are priced fairly. i understand if the stones are both accurately priced, than the decision is ultimately subjective.

also any potential red flags that you see, specifically on the inclusions diagram of the 2.13 SI2 stone. To me the stone looked very clean, but the jeweler did place more of an emphasis on "how it will look in the ring" versus how the loose stone looked from the sides/bottom/circumference/etc. I don't mind having inclusions that can be masked.thanks

Both stones are on the steep side of the pavillion angle, especially when coupled with a 35CA. I think you can find a better stone in your budget.

I'm not sure if you had the opportunity, but try and view the stones in a variety of lighting environments. Just about everything looks great in the showroom.

I also think you can do better, but you won't cross 2ct while getting an ideal cut stone in that budget. You'd have to be in the SI1-SI2 range and at that price, you're not looking at eye clean stones.

So I guess if inclusions don't bother you, as in, ones you can see...because I think you will be able to see the inclusions in the one you've posted above.

Keep looking!

Neither of these diamonds are "ideal". They do carry the top grade from the GIA of Excellent but "GIA Excellent" can vary greatly. You can find a much better cut than these two. Are you open to shopping online or are you set on buying in a retail store?

Here are some better options:

thank you for directing me to those stones, i really like this one from the web https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R202-EB1AGJ?cid=pricescope and may try to see in person. is the medium fluorescence the main reason for the lower price? or do you think it is the location of the inclusion? Thanks
I would prefer to see the stone in person, but I am not 100% against buying online.

My guess is the medium blue (again this is a guess), however, since it isn't strong or very strong, this is unlikely to be an issue (caused by haziness or milkiness), but I would check w the vendor to 100% sure.

That has a very shallow crown angle at 32.5.

On Enchanted Diamonds, stick with looking at the diamonds that are rated 97 or higher.
