Good Evening!

I am new here, I recently inquired about a diamond ring and prices to a well known vendor. I got a great price quoted for a 1.00 tw halo ring with a yellow miligrain bezel (no center stone) $3995 18k great melee stones. The stone that accompanies the ring on the site is a bit out of my price range, a beautiful 3.5 ct light yellow.

These are the options for center stones provided:

1.57ct Round Brilliant Cut Diamond available. It is GIA Certified at O-P VS1 and has such an exceptional combination of cut and quality with the ring $8995

OR

I have a very beautiful 1.20ct Round Brilliant Cut Diamond available. It is GIA Certified at S-T VS2. It has a very pure and beautiful light yellow color that will look amazing in that design. It is perfectly clear in clarity and the cut is outstanding with ring $6995

As you can see, that is a big price difference. I've always wanted a 1.5 ct stone, I have two questions. How dark is the O-P going to be compared to the S-T I love the light yellow look but I want to see some white on the stone as well and how big is the difference betewen 1.2-1.5 stone?

Thanks in advance. :loopy:

Welcome, Luna! I think that it is going to be hard to choose without some pictures of those stones! Surely the vendor can provide some for you. Stones of lower color can be more yellow, champagne, brownish, etc., so it would be impossible to guess the differences without seeing the specific stones.

There will be a good bit of difference in a 1.2 and 1.5. I have a picture that shows a 1 ct., 1.2, 1.5, and 2.0:

There are a few people here with light yellow diamonds. Most that I can recall have come from Diamonds by Lauren if you want to take a look on that site. Or you may need to start a new thread with yellow diamonds in the title to alert the people you are trying to reach.
