Sorry I don't have a creative name or handle (or that's what they called it in the old days) but I'm Connie most of the time I just abrev. as 'c'. I am a buyer, an addict of many different forms of natural diamonds, gem stones, semi precious stones, "stuff" I just can't live without I've found while traveling. I've long been a custom client (about 40 yrs) having wax/cast, unique pieces made that ...I just can't find- so when that happens I just have it made (no prob). I'm one of those much like many here, I suppose. I have tackle boxes of stones (cut and lap) that I have collected over the years saving them for a 'special' project or family event.
I tried my hand at being a "DIY" jeweler...(*chuckle) after hot flux popped on me the second time I knew that I wasn't cut out for the hands on craftsperson I thought I was.
This is a wonderful site, I come as a consumer and student, I guarantee I will ask 1MM questions.
