I''m starting to look at some diamonds from White Flash. I''ve noticed on the hearts report that they provide on some of their diamonds that their are noticeable specs on the report in the hearts. Are these the inclusions of the stone? If so what kind of magnification is it using and should I be concerned if they are very noticeable in that report. I''m interested in an eye-clean stone so if they are highly magnified it probably isn''t a big deal, but when looking at the report some of the SI1 stones are definitely giving me pause. I''ve pasted a link below. If you look at the hearts report you can see the specs that I''m referring to.

Thanks.

I can see the inclusions in the idealscope image, too, but it is hard to see anything in the diamond photo. You should ask WF if it is eyeclean from the top and the sides. If you think you might be clarity sensitive, I''d recommend going with VS2.

I''m having the conversation with them. Most of these are eye-clean from 8-10" with 20/20 vision. However I wonder if it passes that test could it mean that there is a bad inclusion that you can see from 4-5" when examining it. I think the general consensus around here is if it is eye-clean than SI1 is the way to go, but I really think there is more to it than that.

A small spec from 5" that you need to look for isn''t a big deal. However a black dot from 4" right in the center that you can''t see from 9" is very different.

I don''t want to have to pay up for VS2 if it isn''t needed, however I don''t want to be disappointed in the stone whenever I admire it from very close range.

I understand. I occasionally look at mine with a loupe, and it just makes me happier to have VS. But I think more people here like the savings of buying SI!

Then tell them you want a stone where you can't see anything from any distance, or from any angle, if you want it clean from all views (side, pavillion).
