Hearts on Fire question

Hello! My question is can a "Hearts on Fire" diamond have a VG cut grade? I thought all super ideals had to have excellent /ideal numbers.

HoF is a specific brand. They can sell anything the want. If they're selling GIA graded stones it'll have the cut grade on the GIA report and although I would be a little surprised for them to be selling ones with a VG cut, there's nothing that would prevent it beyond their own marketing requirements. If they're grading it themselves or using some other lab, it'll depend on the grading scales being used. FWIW, a GIA-VG does NOT, of itself, prevent a stone from being lovely, nor does it mean that it won't display hearts and arrows symmetry.

I didn't know Hearts on Fire sold anything other than AGS000. That's interesting. Where did you see a VG cut HoF?

yup, all the HoF stones that i've seen were AGS graded with the HoF logo inscribed on the girdle. Hmmm,maybe some older HoF stones was graded by GIA?...
