Hi!

I went into several B&M jewelry stores yesterday to get quotes for a ring setting.

One jeweller tld me that you can actually see hearts and arrows in a PRINCESS cut.

Is this true?

Ask him to show you then.

Maybe he is talking about the H&A square cut? But that is not a princess. totally different flavor from a Princess.

maybe he meant a jubilee cut? but has clipped corners

Nope, i told him about square hearts and arrows but he said even princesses have them.

He also said ALL round diamonds have hearts and arrows.

He makes beautiful jewelry, but what he said didn''t really make sense to me.

Well i''m in aus, and the only vendor which supplies square H&A is Jogia :p

he knows nothing of what he speaks..lol

LOL, I want what he''s having if it makes you see hearts and arrows all over the place- sounds fun ;-)
But, yeah, seems a bit off the rocker to me. You should blow him mind and show him an OEC... let''s see him find ''em there! :-)

haha well i was hoping he was right, and i was wrong. Now i don''t trust him to do this job

yeah, unfortunately I'm not sure how much that really means Cindy.
I've spoken to a number of JAA members who were frankly clueless, just like
your new friend, lol..

Speaking to other Aussie members on this board, it's become clear we are lacking some
serious education and training in the industry in Aus.
Lucky you are in Perth and have Jogia, as them and of course Garry Holloway seem to be our
only redeeming factors when it comes to knowledge about cut and diamonds.

may I ask what store it was Cindy (or just give a hint if you like) ?

Second floor carillion city near the antique shop :P

Lol
